This session will consider the legal issues around consent and medicines administration for safe vaccination.

The session will provide delegates with the opportunity to:

• Consider the legislation on Consent – how this relates to giving vaccine.
• Consider Human Medicines Regulations (HMR) and how these relate to the safe administration and delivery of vaccines.

Vaccinators need to understand the legal requirements in respect of obtaining informed consent and for the legal authorisation to supply and or administer vaccines. This session will provide this information and an opportunity to reflect on best practice.
