Alison has worked in cardiology for over 25 years. In her current role, she works with primary and secondary care teams in Sussex aspiring to improve medicines optimisation for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease and supporting others to do so. As an independent prescriber, she manages a range of cardiac conditions. She is also a lecturer at the Brighton University School of Pharmacy. Alison has published on topics in clinical pharmacy and cardiology. She has a national profile which includes working with the Primary Care Cardiovascular Society (PCCS); NICE, NHS Specialist Pharmacy Services (SPS); United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association (UKCPA) and the British and Irish Hypertension Society (BIHS).
