Dr Sharlene Greenwood, Co-Founder, and Chief Medical Officer of Kidney Beam, is committed to bridging the gap in kidney-specific rehabilitation services. Recognising the pressing need for tailored support for individuals living with kidney disease, Sharlene co-founded Kidney Beam during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a Consultant Physiotherapist at King’s College Hospital and an Honorary Reader in Exercise and Lifestyle Medicine at King’s College London, Sharlene brings a wealth of expertise to her role. She is also the immediate past President of the UK Kidney Association, demonstrating her dedication to advancing kidney healthcare on a national scale. Sharlene’s leadership and commitment to innovation are evident in Kidney Beam, the first-to-market kidney-specific exercise and lifestyle management app. By offering cost-effective specialist rehabilitation, Sharlene is helping to ensure individuals with kidney disease have access to the support they need to live well with their chronic condition.
