Dr Gupta qualified as a GP in 2007 and has been a GP partner at Faversham Medical Practice since 2008. Dr Gupta is passionate about the vital role GP partnerships play in the NHS and their local communities. He has been involved in developing innovative community services at the practice like the Urgent Treatment Centre, X-ray service, hand surgery, cataract surgery, gynaecology and ophthalmology. Dr Gupta has been serving as the LMC's chairman since 2017. Dr Gupta is the Kent representative at the BMA's General Practitioners Committee (GPC), GPC England Policy Lead for GP Premises and BMA UK council member representing the South East Coast region.
