George Matuska

Learning Disability Nurse, Clinical Lead for all age Learning Disabilities, Autism and ADHD, NHS Kent and Medway and Kent and Medway NHS Social Partnership Trust
George Matuska became the Clinical Lead for All-Age Learning Disability, Autism, and ADHD at NHS Kent and Medway ICB in 2024. He also holds the position of Lead for Learning Disability and Autism at the Kent and Medway NHS and Social Partnership Trust. Additionally, he serves as a Co-Chair of the NHS England National Learning Disability Nursing Shared Decision-Making Council. George graduated from De Montfort University in 2006 as a Registered Nursing in Learning Disabilities. Since then, he has held a variety of nursing and leadership roles within both independent and statutory sectors at local, regional, and national levels. In 2014, Matuska completed his postgraduate studies in Intellectual Disabilities and Complex Needs at St. Andrew's University. He further enhanced his leadership skills by completing the Aspiring Nurse Director Leadership Scholarship with the Florence Nightingale Foundation in 2021. His academic contributions have been recognized with visiting lecturer appointments at Canterbury Christ Church University and most recently at Kingston University London, where he was awarded the title of Honorary Lecturer in 2022.
