Having lived and worked with young people and adults with disabilities for over 25 years Katy joined Involve in 2013 with a passion to raise the profile of lived experience and assert the value of peer support. In 2020 Katy initiated the development of a unique children, young people and family support service in Kent based on a social prescribing model. Her lived experience continues to drive her leadership, passion to impact the wider system and ambition for the growth of Involve’s Children’s Services.
