Zena Wehbe

Zena Wehbe

Principal Scientist, Jude
Zena Wehbe is a molecular pharmacologist with expertise in drug development and bladder pharmacology. She has over 15 years of experience in the field of molecular biology and nutrition. Her PhD research focused on the development of a novel therapeutic agent for overactive bladder, delving deeply into the mechanisms underlying bladder contractility and the role of estrogen in influencing both bladder physiology and the drug’s efficacy. Her work explored the intricate interactions between hormonal fluctuations and bladder function, and the influence of estrogen on the drug’s outcome. Currently serving as the principal scientist at Jude, Zena Wehbe specializes in the development of innovative therapies for overactive bladder. Her work is particularly focused on addressing the unique challenges faced by post-menopausal women, advancing treatment options that consider hormonal influences. Combining her academic research experience with translational drug development, she contributes significantly to the field by bridging molecular pharmacology with clinical application.
